What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to get it back or deleted.

Pearl Social is the data controller for the information described on this page. You can reach us about anything here at hello@itspearl.ai.
Your email address and a password you choose. We never store your password itself, only a hash of it, and we cannot read it.
The website address you give us, the brand profile drafted from it and anything you edit in it, the briefs you write, and the captions, images and videos Pearl generates for you. We also keep a record of each generation so you can see what you were charged for.
If you buy credits, Stripe handles the payment. Your card details go to Stripe directly and never reach our servers. We keep a record of the amount, the date and Stripe’s own reference, so that your balance and your receipts are correct.
On our public pages we count visits and which buttons are pressed. This measurement is cookieless and anonymous: it does not identify you, does not follow you between sites, and is not used for advertising.
We hold your account and your content because we need them to provide the product you asked for — that is the contract between us. We keep payment records because the law requires us to. We measure our public pages on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works, which is why that measurement is anonymous rather than tied to you.
Pearl produces your posts by sending your brand profile and your brief to AI providers. This means the text you write, and the public content of the website address you give us, leave our systems and are processed by the companies listed below. Do not put anything into a brief that you would not want processed by a third party— in particular, no personal data about other people, and nothing confidential.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We use these companies to run the product:
| Company | What for | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, sign-in and file storage | Your email address, your workspace content, and the images and videos Pearl generates for you. |
| Vercel | Hosting and anonymous traffic measurement | Standard web request data. Our analytics are cookieless and do not identify you. |
| Stripe | Payments | Your email address and your payment details. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and are never stored by us. |
| OpenAI | Writing captions and generating the first frame | Your brand profile, your brief, and the public content of the website address you provide. |
| fal.ai | Generating video from the approved frame | The approved first frame image and the motion description written for it. |
Some of these companies are based outside the UK and the EEA, which means your data may be transferred there. We require each of them to protect it to the standard the law expects of us.
Your account and your content are kept for as long as your account exists. Generations you did not approve are pruned automatically once a post is finished. Payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires, which is longer than your account may last.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we are using it and ask us to restrict it.
At the moment these requests are handled by hand. There is no button in the product that deletes your account yet. Email hello@itspearl.ai and we will do it, and confirm when it is done. We say this plainly rather than implying a self-service option that does not exist.
If you are in the UK or the EEA and you think we have handled your data badly, you have the right to complain to your data protection regulator.
We set a cookie when you sign in, because that is how you stay signed in. It is essential to the product and there is no way to use an account without it. We set no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why this site has no cookie banner.
Pearl Social is a business product and is not intended for anyone under 16.
If we change this page we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email rather than relying on you to notice.
